Two extra time goals gave U. Estepona CF an important victory over bottom of the table Jerez Industrial once again lifting the local side out of the relegation zone.
A shock goal by the visitors in the first minute of the match at Estepona's Francisco Muñoz Pérez stadium put the home team on the back foot with the visitors seemingly determined to kill the game and defend the lead.
This worked well for the visitors until the second half saw the strike team of Memo and Ryan brought on to put the pressure on Jerez.
This finally paid off when Scottish striker Ryan equalised in the 70th minute. This scoreline held until the end of normal time, with Estepona resigned to sharing the points, when Ryan added a second in the first minute of time added on, with Catanha sealing the victory with a third in the 92nd minute.
Next week's fixture will provide an interesting local derby with Estepona away to Marbella in the last match of the year. Marbella who are currently second from bottom, are also struggling this year, and both teams will be looking to go into the festive break with a morale lifting win. |

Estepona's Foreign Residents Association, AREME, will be holding its annual general meeting on Monday, 26th April at 11 for 11.30 am. The meeting will be held in the Salon de Prensa on the first floor of the Padre Manuel Cultural Centre in Estepona.

The ASABAM music association, with the help of ACEMCE, The Resident newspaper and various friends of the Municipality invite you to join them in celebrating Andalucía’s annual festival at the Lola's Showbar, in Plaza Ginebra, San Luís de Sabinillas, with the “Amigos de la Música” Choir.
Along with the Himno de Andalucía (Andalucía Anthem) they will perform a varied choral repertoire.

Everyone joined in the fun as the Estepona/Sotogrande Chapter of The American Club Costa Del Sol enjoyed American Halloween - Hollywood Style. Some 50 Members came in fancy dress as Hollywood Stars of Past & Present. The venue was filled to capacity by Members & Guests who came from near and far to enjoy welcoming cava, glamorous "Hollywood" company, delicous food, & Alberto's music that kept us dancing through the night.
