Documents were signed today representing the final act in the resumption of works on the Sabinillas Sports Complex begun in 2005 but mothballed due to funding problems.
In an official ceremony held at Manilva’s Infrastructure and Public Works office in Sabinillas, members of the local council along with representatives of the contracting consortium, and the Mancomunidad’s architect signed the revised agreement setting out the revised schedule and terms.
The total contract is worth 7.7 million euros of which more than 1.2 million has been paid to the contractor.
The Mayoress, Antonia Muñoz, commented that not only would the complex provide top class sporting facilities for the municipality, but also provide much needed employment.
Works are to resume immediately with a scheduled completion within one year.

Amigos de la Música celebrate Andalucía Day

Sunday, February 28th. 2010 at 7:30pm sharp
The ASABAM music association, with the help of ACEMCE, The Resident newspaper and various friends of the Municipality invite you to join them in celebrating Andalucía’s annual festival at the Lola's Showbar, in Plaza Ginebra, San Luís de Sabinillas, with the “Amigos de la Música” Choir.
Along with the Himno de Andalucía (Andalucía Anthem) they will perform a varied choral repertoire.

Everyone joined in the fun as the Estepona/Sotogrande Chapter of The American Club Costa Del Sol enjoyed American Halloween - Hollywood Style. Some 50 Members came in fancy dress as Hollywood Stars of Past & Present. The venue was filled to capacity by Members & Guests who came from near and far to enjoy welcoming cava, glamorous "Hollywood" company, delicous food, & Alberto's music that kept us dancing through the night.
