Resurfacing works lead to road closures in Estepona

The resurfacing works in Estepona, scheduled for before Christmas but postponed due to the torrential rains, will go ahead in the New Year from the 6th to the 9th January.
The works, which affect Avenida del Carmen between the lighthouse roundabout and the Shell petrol station roundabout to the west of the town.
The project is divided into three phases during which certain sections of the road will be closed to traffic between 9 pm and 7 am.
1st Phase (night of the 6th and 7th January) - From the Glorieta del Faro (Lighthouse roundabout) until the roundabout opposite the Belgravia urbanisation.
2nd Phase (night of the 7th and 8th January) - From the Urb. Belgravia roundabout to the Seghers roundabout (by the local police station).
3rd Phase (night of the 8th and 9th January) - From the Seghers roundabout to the Shell petrol station roundabout).
Urbanisations directly affected by these road closures include:
In the Cadiz direction: Ronda en el Mar, Kai-Alde y Punta Doncella.
In the Malaga direction: Puerto Paraiso, Residencial Puerto Estepona, Belgravia, Edificio Pinacho, Edf. El Coral, Marina Bay, Bermeja Beach, Riviera Andaluza Veramar, Hotel H-10, Shell petrol station  and various other properties.
Residents are advised to ensure that vehicles should be parked away from the area of works if required during the period of closure.

Everyone joined in the fun as the Estepona/Sotogrande Chapter of The American Club Costa Del Sol enjoyed American Halloween - Hollywood Style. Some 50 Members came in fancy dress as Hollywood Stars of Past & Present.  The venue was filled to capacity by Members & Guests who came from near and far to enjoy welcoming cava, glamorous "Hollywood" company, delicous food, & Alberto's music that kept us dancing through the night.
