Estepona celebrates its Patron Saint San Isidro Labrador this week with a programme of events beginning on Wednesday, 12th of May. San Isidro's Day is on Saturday, 15th May and is a local holiday in Estepona.
Wednesday, 12th May 7 pm. Estepona Town centre. Parade announcing the begining of The Fiesta of San Isidro Labrador. 8 pm. Recinto Ferial. 50% discount on all fairground rides. 10:30 pm. Opening of the fairground. Official pavillion. Flamenco Show by the Isabel Ortega Dance School. Dance Music by DJ.
Thursday, 13th May Spanish Horse Championships (day 1) 11 am. Opening of the fairground. Midday. Official pavillion. Dance Music by DJ. 9 pm. Official pavillion. Flamenco Show by the Monica Peña Dance Academy. 10:30 pm. Official pavillion - Dancing until the early hours with music from “Los Tejedas”.
Friday, 14th May Spanish Horse Championships (day 2) Midday. Official pavillion. Dance with the music of "La Cala ". 2 pm. Official pavillion. Tasting of the typical countryside soup “sopa campera” ( Free). 6 pm. Official pavillion. Childrens Party. 10 pm. Official pavillion. Dance with the music of "Los Tejedas". Entrance Donative 3 € 2:30 am. Official pavillion. “Balcon Flamenco” in concert.

Estepona Town Centre. Traditional Andalucian Horse Parade. Decorated Balcony contest. Visit to the Altars in honour of San Isidro Labradror. Typical Andalusian Dance. 1 pm. San José Church. Performance of typical dancers of Málaga.Traditional Andalucian Dance with the Dance Academy of Mónica Peña. 6 pm. Procession in Honour of San Isidro Labrador. Other news
Only two years after the foundation of ADANA, the animal rescue charity, the first dog show for mixed breeds and other dogs was staged in Estepona. This year the show reaches 20 and plans a very special event.

Amigos de la Música celebrate Andalucía Day Lola's, Plaza Ginebra, Sabinillas Sunday, February 28th. 2010 at 7:30pm sharp
The ASABAM music association, with the help of ACEMCE, The Resident newspaper and various friends of the Municipality invite you to join them in celebrating Andalucía’s annual festival at the Lola's Showbar, in Plaza Ginebra, San Luís de Sabinillas, with the “Amigos de la Música” Choir. Along with the Himno de Andalucía (Andalucía Anthem) they will perform a varied choral repertoire. Entry is free.

Everyone joined in the fun as the Estepona/Sotogrande Chapter of The American Club Costa Del Sol enjoyed American Halloween - Hollywood Style. Some 50 Members came in fancy dress as Hollywood Stars of Past & Present. The venue was filled to capacity by Members & Guests who came from near and far to enjoy welcoming cava, glamorous "Hollywood" company, delicous food, & Alberto's music that kept us dancing through the night.
