Everyone joined in the fun as the Estepona/Sotogrande Chapter of The American Club Costa Del Sol enjoyed American Halloween - Hollywood Style. Some 50 Members came in fancy dress as Hollywood Stars of Past & Present. The venue was filled to capacity by Members & Guests who came from near and far to enjoy welcoming cava, glamorous "Hollywood" company, delicous food, & Alberto's music that kept us dancing through the night.
Wonderful hosts, John and Henry decorated their Cortijo Vizcaronda in Manilva to look like a fantastic, haunted mansion with Hollywood glitz.... there was a welcome Red Carpet where "paparrazi" snapped photos of the Stars alongside Golden Oscars! Their menu consisted of "Ardent" specially roasted lamb-turkey-pork, with Henry's special roasted potatoes, honey roasted vegetables, chocolate Ameretto pudding and Pavlovas with tropical fruit.
While all costumes were great, First Male Prize was awarded to Stewart, of The Cutting Room, as Amadeus. First Female Prize went to Barbara, as a very cute Carmen Miranda ... complete with traditional Fruit Salad Headdress and all!. There also were Cleopatras, Marc Anthony, Marilyn Monroes, Joe DiMaggio, Judy Garland, Bonnie and Clyde, Suzi Wongs, Hannibal Lecter, Thoroughly Modern Milly, Peter Sellers... and many others.
Hearty THANKS go to our hosts, John and Henry and to Chapter members who made this event so much fun: Joanne for creative theme & helping with decorations/arrangements, and Pamela for handling all the reservations so we could squeeze in every fun-lover. We all look forward to a great Halloween celebration next year at Cortijo Vizcaronda ... IF we can FIT the growing crowd in!

Amigos de la Música celebrate Andalucía Day

Sunday, February 28th. 2010 at 7:30pm sharp
The ASABAM music association, with the help of ACEMCE, The Resident newspaper and various friends of the Municipality invite you to join them in celebrating Andalucía’s annual festival at the Lola's Showbar, in Plaza Ginebra, San Luís de Sabinillas, with the “Amigos de la Música” Choir.
Along with the Himno de Andalucía (Andalucía Anthem) they will perform a varied choral repertoire.
