Last Friday saw the first Charity Wine Tasting event held by ADEC in conjunction with Anglo Wines of Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro.
ADEC is a newly formed charity - Association de Ayuda a Enfermos de Cáncer en sus Casas - and aims to provide palliative care in the home for cancer sufferers in the San Roque area.
Over 100 people gathered at Anglo Wines in Sotovila, Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro, to sample a red wine from Ronda along with a couple of new Spanish whites on which Richard Bell-Young wanted to canvas opinion for the summer season.
There was a fantastic raffle of wine hampers provided by Richard Bell-Young, as well as wonderful prizes donated by Katie Lee (hot stone massage), dinner for two at the Rock Hotel, Gibraltar and a gift from Homemakers.
The ADEC committee would like to thank everyone who attended and all the sponsors. A good time was had by all and over 800 euros was raised at the same time.

Estepona's Foreign Residents Association, AREME, will be holding its annual general meeting on Monday, 26th April at 11 for 11.30 am. The meeting will be held in the Salon de Prensa on the first floor of the Padre Manuel Cultural Centre in Estepona.

Amigos de la Música celebrate Andalucía Day

Sunday, February 28th. 2010 at 7:30pm sharp
The ASABAM music association, with the help of ACEMCE, The Resident newspaper and various friends of the Municipality invite you to join them in celebrating Andalucía’s annual festival at the Lola's Showbar, in Plaza Ginebra, San Luís de Sabinillas, with the “Amigos de la Música” Choir.
Along with the Himno de Andalucía (Andalucía Anthem) they will perform a varied choral repertoire.

Everyone joined in the fun as the Estepona/Sotogrande Chapter of The American Club Costa Del Sol enjoyed American Halloween - Hollywood Style. Some 50 Members came in fancy dress as Hollywood Stars of Past & Present. The venue was filled to capacity by Members & Guests who came from near and far to enjoy welcoming cava, glamorous "Hollywood" company, delicous food, & Alberto's music that kept us dancing through the night.
