Following the huge successes of the 2007 and 2008 events, this year’s Over 50s Show, the lifestyle event for the Coast’s seniors, will according to the organisers, be the ‘biggest, best and most feature-packed yet’.
The event will again by held at the Palaccio de Congresos, Estepona on the last weekend of November (Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th) and will again be the ‘ultimate showcase’ for the region’s older people, with all the proven attractions as well as many new elements.
And for antique buffs the good news is that Eric Knowles, known to millions for his appearances on The Antique Roadshow, will be back at the show, offering free valuations on the Bonhams stand.
There will also be a programme of cookery demonstrations by the Novelli Restaurant from Puerto Banus.
Many of the free attractions from the first two shows will again be in the mix, including computer and Internet tuition, golf lessons from PGA professionals, pets advice, an art exhibition, consumer and legal advice, guidance on cosmetic procedures, health checks – including diabetes, and blood pressure monitoring.
There will also be yoga and aerobics demonstrations, as well as a display of running model trains and an art exhibition by the Andalucian International Artists group.
The Over 50s Show is described by the organisers as ‘the ultimate lifestyle event for the Coast seniors, which is entertaining, informative and educational’. Once again, admission and car-parking is free, as well as all presentations and tests. They also add that the event offers the over-50s ‘a one-stop shop’ to get information on their physical and financial health as well as enjoy many of their interests and hobbies, not to mention an excellent opportunity to meet-up with their peers from all over the Coast and beyond.
